The Birds woud chuse a King, the Peacocks claime
By all confirm'd, they chuse him soveraign,
But the wise Pye reprocht his forward pride,
And to the listening Sennat thus reply'd.

Elective Monarchs shoud not be indu'd
With a gay form alone, but fortitude.
