16. how a man should oppose adversitie.

Gainst misadventures being resolv'd to fight,
My mind shall be the bow, whence J'l apace
Shoot back the arrows, Fortune out of spight,
Assaults me with: and breake them in her face;
For all her soverain'ties I abjure:
Her harmes I dread not: and defye her pow'r.
