Legal Counsel

(4) The student must be
permitted to confront his accusers
and all witnesses during the course
of his trial, and the student must be
allowed to hear all evidence
presented against him as to
questions of fact and to
cross-examine all adverse witnesses.

(5) The student must be
permitted to have counsel present
at the hearing and to seek legal
advice during the course of the
proceedings. At the student's
hearing, unless the University can
demonstrate a compelling
countervailing reason to keep it
closed, it must remain open.

(6) The student must be granted
the opportunity to have his case
presented, including his version of
the facts, and any affidavits,
exhibits, or witness in support
thereof.
