The midshipmen were triumphant in that game by a scant point and have since gone on to defeat past national champions, Johns Hopkins. The Cavaliers have gone on to beat Maryland, 9-7, at Maryland, a feat which they have never accomplished before, and a feat which enabled Virginia to claim their first ACC title since 1964. This afternoon Coach Buddy Beardmore's stickmen will face the Washington and Lee Generals at 3:30 on University Hall field. The last game of the season will occur here on Saturday against the Carling Club from Baltimore.
