This artist, a blind street singer from Americus, Ga., who accompanies himself on both the twelve and six-string guitar, will be one of the six nationally acclaimed southern folk artists that will appear at the University as part of the Fourth Annual Southern Folk Festival in Cabell Hall next Saturday, April 12. The festival, under the sponsorship of the Southern Student Organization Committee, will begin on Saturday at 3:30 with free workshops, open to the public. At the workshops, people will be able to meet the performers and talk to them informally. At 8 p.m. the concert will begin, with tickets at $1.50. All proceeds will be donated to the transitional fund. Other performers appearing with Mr. Brown are Elizabeth Cotton, Alice and Hazel.
