Politics fell by the wayside Saturday night at a party for the 200 college Republicans who attended a state campaign workshop held during the day at the University. National, state and local party officials, including A. R. Giesen, the Republican candidate for the Seventh District Congressional seat, and Jack McDonald, chairman of the Young Republican National Federation, participated in the workshop. Liz Medaglia (above, right), a student at Sweet Briar College, displays one of the Nixon posters being sold by the University Young Republican Club, host for the workshop. At the party (left) a picture of Spiro T. Agnew inspired an intense discussion of the current state of the presidential campaign.
