86. On Boasting.

Tell me fond man, whereof hast thou to boast,
Whose days are ev'l at best, but few at most;
Earths best delights are checked-with'r with sorrow,
And dost thou brag of what shall be to morrow!
But if thou must be proud, make this thy Pride,
To know Christ Jesus, and him Crucifi'd.
