SCENE IX.

—THE FOUNTAIN OF UNCEASING LIFE.
Enter Litle Man.
Lit. Man.

Good Fairy of the Magic Fount, arise!

Fairy of the Fount rises.
Fairy.
What would you with me? All who enter here
May drink the magic water, free from fear!
If that is what you want, you have your will;
Of this fair fountain's water, take your fill!

[He does so; drinks water, and an extraordinary lethargy comes over him.—He falls on the bank asleep, Demonio standing in an attitude of triumph over him.—Scene closes.
