The Epiphany
Three Kings went upon their way,
To find a mightier King than they.
To find a mightier King than they.
Three Wise Men, with heaven-taught eyes,
Looked for the Wisest of the wise.
Looked for the Wisest of the wise.
The mighty ones to their Mightier
Brought gold and frankincense and myrrh.
Brought gold and frankincense and myrrh.
The wise knelt to the Wisest One:
The Star had led them to the Sun.
The Star had led them to the Sun.
The grown Kings had their joy complete
Low at a little Child-King's feet.
Low at a little Child-King's feet.
All the way the Kings had trod,
Seeking a king, and finding God.
Seeking a king, and finding God.
Little King, greatest King,
Unto Thee our hearts we bring!
Unto Thee our hearts we bring!
