Arose a small controversy yesterday in Newcomb Hall Grill when table grapes were offered for sale contrary to a nationwide student boycott against the California grape growers. As Tom Gardner, who as a member of the Radical Student Union is well versed in such questions, demonstrates here, the grapes are indeed of the California variety, picked by the Mexican farm workers striking for union recognition since 1965. Bernard Fontana, Food Services head, could not be reached for comment regarding where and why he purchased the fruit. It is not yet known whether conservatives will stampede the grill.
