E-School Resolution

In a meeting yesterday evening,
the Engineering Council of
the School of Engineering and
Applied Sciences passed the
following resolution:

"Be it resolved that the
Engineering Council of the University
of Virginia endorses the
laudable goal of racial justice
and commends those who in
good faith work to attain this
goal. The Engineering Council
urges the President of the
University to develop policies
where practical to make the
University of Virginia equally
attractive to students of all
races.

"At the same time, the
Engineering Council cannot condone
student activities which
endanger the property of or
infringe upon the rights of other
students and members of the
University community."
