82. On Blockishness.

Before the fall our understandings light
Was clear, but since how darkned is our sight
How blockish are we! how unapt to learn
The things; that do immediately concern
Our everlasting peace! O Lord restore
To us thine Image, by us lost before:
Be pleas'd to open our sin-sealed eyes
That we may know thee, and thy goodness prize.
