FAB. XCVIII. The Wood and Clown.

The Clowne implord the tree, that he woud spare
A but of Wood, his Hatchett to repair.
The tree Consent, but the false Clowne betryd
The generous Stock, and all in ruins layd.

Morall

Ungratfull People thus on Princes fall,
And given some liberties rebell for all.
