XXVI.
[To destroy idolatry]
The Lord alone shall be exalted in
that day: and the idols He shall utterly abolish.
Isaiah ii. 17, 18.
To destroy idolatry,
God was manifest below;
God we in our Saviour see,
None beside Himself we know:
Christ the consubstantial Son,
Worshipp'd by His heavenly choir,
Him we magnify alone,
One with His eternal Sire.
