Of a Curat's hauing two wiues at once giuen him in marriage.

Epi. 185.

A Parson, that one only Daughter had
Match'd her vnto a Curat; but was glad
To giue, for lack of Portion to lay downe;
A Benefice, he held beside his owne.
But, in this Guift, he gaue his so made Sonne,
Two Wiues at once, whereof this Guift was one:
For, Papall Constitutions are of force,
In this glad Match to make a sad diuorce.
With which two wiues he liues, with much ado;
The Teithe of one being Dowry to the two.
