These are the Wonders we have seen,
Since Britain has Interr'd her Queen:
But what these Prodigies forebode,
Whether our Evil or our Good,
I'll leave to those that read the Heavens,
And guess by Sixes and by Sevens,
Who, by great Chance, some Truths may give us,
Or with officious Lies deceive us.
For Arts, by which they gain sheir Ends,
And Planets, like unfaithful Friends,
Are most deceitful when we need 'em,
Or else they Blockheads are that read 'em.
