DESCRIPTION OF BEES.
Thus toil the Bees beneath the sultry sky,While o'er each plant with rapid touch they fly;
[illeg.] sweets extract from each virgineal flower,
[illeg.] bear its fragrance to their waxen bower:
[illeg.] liquid balm with chemic art condense,
[illeg.] in each cell its proper store dispense.
[illeg.] with care attend the homeward hive,
[illeg.] from their walls the dronal army drive;
[illeg.] all unite, collect, or stow their food,
[illeg.] each employ'd, consult the common good.
[illeg.] subtle pride, or avaricious claim,
[illeg.] union mars, or disappoints its aim:
[illeg.] their labours, and alike their plan,
[illeg.] themselves the lesson and reproach of man.
