[O God to whom thy thoughts direct]

O God to whom thy thoughts direct
Their constant hopes, and hopefull crys,
Let not my soul in vain expect
For mercy, from such gracious eyes:
Maintain thine honour; 'Tis not me
The proud contemn, Great God, but thee.
