CLXXXI
“AT EVENING TIME IT SHALL BE LIGHT”
Since Isaac in the fields at eventide
Went mourning for a mother lately lost,
And saw towards the East the veiled bride
Who came to meet him, counting well the cost,
How many an Isaac hath the evening blest,
Bringing him light, when all he craved was rest!
