On Gallus.

Troubled in conscience Gallus weds his whore,
Hopes shee'l as honest prove as she was poore;
What skils saies hee? 'tis but as 'twas before,
I kept her then, and now I do no more:
For better and for worse our wives we take,
A Whore purchance an honest wife may make.
