The genius of the state distinctly trac'd;
The groundwork of the senatorial strain
Here opens. Whilst full many a subject meets
Discussion's strength, in prospect bid it lie;
Whether the government's internal springs
Require the regulating hand, or cares
Extrinsic lead thy views to distant realms.
