Gabryell, that angell bryght,Bryghtter than the son lyght,
From hevyn to erth he toke his flyght:
Regina celi, letare!

In Nazareth, in that cyte,Be fore Mary he fell on kne,
And sayd: “Mary, God ys with the,”
Regina celi, letare!

“Hayle be thou, Mary of mytis most,In the shall lyght the Holy Gost,
To saue the sowles þat were lost.”
Regina celi, letare!

Hayle be thou Mary, maydyn shen;From the fendis that be so kene,
Thou kepe, & save vs all from tene!
