These be þe wittys þe whiche god has geuyn vs
to know hym with. and to rewle vs thorwȝ wysdam./
and leue holy lyf as good seruauntys of god schuld do.
and eschewe perelys of synne. and so to come to þat Ioye ;
þat god has ordeynyd vs to be made fore
to þe wiche Ioy he vs brynge ; þat deyde for vs vp-on þe rode.
