Poetry Contest

Since 1955 the Academy of American
Poets has offered a prize of $100 for the
best poem or group of poems submitted by
undergraduates or graduate students at the
University.

There is no restriction on form or
number of poems, but students are requested
not to submit more than 120 lines
of poetry to be judged. All contributions
must be signed and turned in to the English
Department, 115 Wilson Hall, in a single
envelope by May 1.

This award is also offered at Harvard,
Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Duke, Smith,
Vassar, Amherst and other universities.
