The collected poems of Arthur Edward Waite

in two volumes ... With a Portrait

But when the vision into night recedes,
The soul descends, and in some wondrous way
I stand and look into my Lady's eyes,
The whole significance of outward things
Unrolls before me, as a scroll unwinds,
And in the hyaline and crystal depths
Of her unspotted spirit do I read
Infinities of meaning.
