SIKHISM:
growing out of various Indian movements which sought unity between the best in ISLAM and HINDUISM, which crystalized in the work of NNAK, the first of ten GURUS, who created and led the SIKH community. Nnak preached the unity of GOD and taught the centrality of BHAKTI type devotion using the repetition of the divine name. The CASTE system was repudiated and images banned from WORSHIP.
