Cratander solus.
Cra.
Punish! by Heav'n he dares not;
Those Eyes have forc'd me to forget my Friendship,
And any Chain is easy now to break;
All but my Love, and that repuls'd with Scorn
Revenge shall follow, led by Desperation.
AIR.
No longer I'll bear
In the Heart of the Fair,
A Rival thus happy to reign;
While I in Despair,
Tormented with Care,
For ever must sigh and complain.

Assist me, Lachesis!
Assist me, Nemesis!
Ye Furies! ye Destinies aid!
Their Union divide,
And vanquish the Pride,
Of this charming, this obstinate Maid.
