Hope.
'Tis wond'rous populous, from the AccessOf Persons from all Parts that hither press;
One Side of the magnifick City stands
On a Foundation of unfaithful Sands,
Which oftentimes the glorious Load destroys,
Which long designing was with Pomp and Noise.
The other Part well founded, neat, and strong,
Less beautiful, less busy, with less Throng,
Is built upon a River's Bank, whose clear
And murm'ring Waters ravish Eye and Ear.
