LEAVES OF ABSENCE

The following resolution was adopted:

• RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following faculty members be and they are hereby granted leave of absence:
• Mr. Nicholas Cabrera, Commonwealth Professor of Physics, for one semester, effective 1 September 1969, without pay,, to continue teaching and research, Instituto Politecnico Nacional and Universidad Autonoma Nacional, Mexico City.
• Mr. Joseph F. Kett, Assistant Professor of History, for one year, effective 1 September 1969, without pay, to pursue research.
• Mr. Nathaniel F. G. Martin, Associate Professor of Mathematics, for one year, effective 1 September 1969, without pay, to serve as Visiting Lecturer at the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, University of Copenhagen.
• Mr. Klaus O. Ziock, Associate Professor of Physics, for one semester, effective 1 September 1969, without pay, to carry out research in nuclear physics at CERN, Switzerland.
