FAB. LXXXIII. The Covetous and Envious Man.

The Miser heard what ere his friend did crave,
From Iove a doble portion he shoud have,
There stood mute—the envious man replyes,
Iove I'll spare one so he may loos both eyes.

Morall

The sin of Envy nought can equalize
But the ungenerous sensless Misers vice.
