HYMN XXVI.

[Foolish, ignorant, and blind]

Foolish, ignorant, and blind
Is sinful, short-lived man;
All which in the world we find
Is perishing and vain:
Man must quickly turn to dust,
The world will be destroy'd by fire;
Who would then on either trust,
Or dotingly admire?
God is good and great alone,
In wisdom infinite:
Let us render Him His own,
And still in God delight;
Fix on Him our trust and choice,
And sing, and wonder, and adore;
In His holy will rejoice,
And triumph evermore.
