But now, Amphialus was charm'd; his hand
Had no sufficient warrant to withstand
Parthenia's suit, from whose faire eyes there came
Such precious teares, in so belou'd a name;
His eyes grew tender, and his melting heart
Was ouercome; his very soule did smart;
He stirred not, but kept him at a distance,
And (putting by some blowes) made no resistance.
