EPIGRAM XVIII.

[A Thousand objects of desire]

QUOD PETIS, HIC EST.

A Thousand objects of desire,
On foreign coasts you'll view;
Now art, now nature's works admire,
Here splendor, there virtù:—
But blessings which at home you see,
Sublimer joy suggest:
Old England gives you Liberty;
And that gives all the rest.
