Hampton Workshop

Student-teacher communication problems
are the focus of a two-day workshop beginning
here today for students and faculty members
from Hampton Institute and the University.

The workshop, continuing an exchange
program between the two schools begun last
year, involves nineteen students and three
faculty members from Hampton Institute and
fifteen students and five faculty members from
the University.

Participating specialists will be members of
the faculties of the two schools. The students
are elementary education majors. "The two
institutions will attempt to solve a major
problem confronting teachers-communication
with their students," stated Alfred Arth, an
assistant professor in the School of Education.
