Blood Needed
The University Hospital is in desperate
need of blood due to an unusual increase in
the number of patients and the lack of
blood supply coming from Washington and
Roanoke. Anyone wishing to donate blood
should call 924-2273 for an appointment at
the Blood Bank in the Barringer Wing of the
old section of the hospital.
The blood bank is open Monday through
Saturday, 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. and
Sunday, 8 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. t is also
open during weekday evenings from 6 until
9.
Students are urged to donate blood
before leaving for Christmas break.
Students under 21 must have written
consent of their parents to donate blood
