The following resolution was adopted:
RESOLVED that the following faculty members be and they are hereby granted leave of absence:
Ms. Joye L. Bowman, Assistant Professor of History, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, with partial pay, to do research.
Mr. Claude Desjardins, Visiting Professor of Physiology, for the period June 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, without pay, to teach at the University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Robert L. Ellison, Associate Professor of Environmental Sciences, for one semester, without pay, effective January 16, 1986, to continue research.
Mr. Jon K. Hutchison, Assistant Professor of Planning, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, without pay, to accept a position with Carley Capital Group.
Ms. Petronella G. Jansen, Lecturer, General Faculty in Continuing Education, for the period July 1, 1985 through August 31. 1985, without pay, for personal reasons.
Mr. Robert E. Johnson, Professor of Engineering Physics, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, with partial pay, to do research.
Ms. Gretchen L. Kelly, Assistant Professor of Nursing, General Nursing Faculty, for the period July 22, 1985 through September 1, 1985, without pay, to complete summer educational activities.

Dr. Jung-Ah Kim, Assistant Professor of Radiology, for the period July 1, 1985 through August 31, 1985, without pay, for personal reasons.
Mr. Alden R. Kuhlthau, Professor of Civil Engineering, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, with partial pay, to qualify for the early retirement plan as approved by the Board of Visitors.
Mr. M. Douglas LeVan, Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, with partial pay, to do research.
Ms. Jacqueline Lichtman, Associate Professor, General Faculty, for the period June 16, 1985 through August 15, 1985, without pay, for personal reasons.
Mr. Eugene A. Lovelace, Associate Professor of Psychology, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, without pay, to be a visiting professor at Alfred University.
Mr. Gary W. Marks, Assistant Professor of Government and Foreign Affairs, for the period January 16, 1986 through May 31, 1986, without pay, to do research.
Mr. Walter B. Moore, III, Assistant Professor of Humanities, for one academic year, with partial pay, effective September 1, 1985, to continue the early retirement plan as approved by the Board of Visitors.
Mr. Frederick S. Morton, Professor of Business Administration, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, with partial pay, to participate in the University's early retirement plan.
Mr. Julian V. Noble, Professor of Physics, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, with partial pay, to do research.
Mr. Henry R. Odell, Associate Professor of Commerce, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1990, with partial pay, to participate in the University's early retirement plan.
Mr. Robert H. Owens, Professor of Applied Mathematics. for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, with partial pay, to continue to participate in the early retirement plan as approved by the Board of Visitors.
Mr. Frank S. Quinn, Jr., Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics, for one semester, without pay, effective January 16, 1986, to qualify for the early retirement plan as approved by the Board of Visitors.

Mr. D. Kent Wall, Associate Professor of Systems Engineering, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, without pay, to teach at the Defense Resources Management Education Center.
Ms. Lois A. Weithorn, Assistant Professor of Psychology, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, without pay, to pursue a law degree.
Mr. John A. Wert, Associate Professor of Materials Science, for the period June 1, 1985 through August 15, 1985, without pay, for personal reasons.
