Thus like destroying Angels do you stand,Brandishing vengeance with your Charming hand.
Thus with your flaming Sword do you appear
To guard that Paradise Heav'n planted here.

With thunder in your hands, and light'ning in your Eyes.
Attempting you, Man would worse rashness prove,
Than Capan'us, who brav'd the mighty Jove.
All Mortals sure must with this sight be charm'd,
A Venus Naked, and a Pallas arm'd.
