Policy Changes

When asked about the elimination
of Saturday classes and
changes in present attendance
policies, Dean Runk stated that
these are strictly academic matters
and concern the deans of the
various schools of the University.

He continued that changes in
any such policies would require
the approval of the voting faculties
of the individual schools.

Making particular reference to
the present system of penalizing
students for cutting classes, Mr.
Runk said, "If students have
good reason for changes in the
cut system they are privileged to
petition to the faculty of their
school through their dean."

The petition will be presented
to that faculty at its regular meeting.
Approval by the voting
faculty will constitute a change
in the rules.
