The following resolution was adopted:

  • RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following faculty members be and they are hereby granted leave of absence:
  • Mr. James H. Aylor, Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Science, for the period September 1, 1982 through August 31, 1983, for educational leave.
  • Mr. Tyler A. Baker, III, Assistant Professor of Law, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1982, to conclude term as Special Assistant to the Assistant Attorney General, U.S. Department of Justice.
  • Dr. Bruce G. Bateman, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, for the period January 1, 1983 through December 31, 1983, to work at medical facility in Saudi Arabia.
  • Mr. Samuel E. Bodily, Associate Professor of Business Administration, The Darden School, for one semester, effective January 16, 1983, to be a Visiting Professor at the University of Washington.
