Lettuce Anti-Boycott

The undergraduate Young
Americans for Freedom (YAF)
will sponsor an anti-boycott
speech tomorrow at 8 p.m. in
room 4B of Newcomb Hall.

G.F. Moffett, Director of
Program Development and
Field Services for the Virginia
Farm Bureau Federation, will
speak on reasons for opposing
the lettuce boycott.

The Virginia YAF will hold
its annual Freedom Awards
Dinner Friday night in
Richmond and will present the
Freedom Award to retiring
Democratic Congressman
Watkins Abbitt. According to
John S. Buckley, University
YAF chairman, the Freedom
Award is presented to an
individual for "promoting
conservative values."

Virginia's senior U.S.
Senator Harry F. Byrd will be
the main speaker. Republican
State Chairman Richard D.
Obenshain and several
Congressmen will also be there.
