RETIREMENTS

The following retirements were announced:

  • Mr. Bruce A. Chartres, Professor of Civil Engineering and Applied Mechanics, effective May 31, 1996. Mr. Chartres has been a member of the faculty since September 1, 1965.
  • Ms. Patricia R. Crook, Associate Professor of Education, effective May 31, 1996. Ms. Crook has been a member of the faculty since September 1, 1977.
  • Ms. Gladys E. Deters, Assistant Professor of Nursing, effective May 31, 1996. Ms. Deters has been a member of the faculty since August 26, 1974.
  • Mr. William A. Elwood, Associate Professor of English, effective June 30, 1996. Mr. Elwood has been a member of the faculty since September 1, 1964.
  • Mr. Robert R. Fair, Professor of Business Administration, effective May 31, 1996. Mr. Fair has been a member of the faculty since September 1, 1964.
  • Dr. Dieter H. Groschel, Professor of Pathology and Professor of Internal Medicine, effective June 30, 1996. Dr. Groschel has been a member of the faculty since July 1, 1979.
  • Mr. Nathaniel F. Martin, Professor of Mathematics, effective May 31, 1996. Mr. Martin has been a member of the faculty since September 15, 1959.
  • Mr. Ernest C. Mead, Jr., Professor of Music, effective May 31, 1996. Mr. Mead has been a member of the faculty since September 15, 1953.
  • Mr. Albert B. Reynolds, Professor of Nuclear Engineering, effective May 31, 1996. Mr. Reynolds has been a member of the faculty since September 1, 1968.

  • Ms. Sandra W. Scarr, Commonwealth Professor of Psychology, effective May 31, 1996. Ms. Scarr has been a member of the faculty since September 1, 1983.
  • Mr. Stanley E. Sobottka, Professor of Physics, effective January 15, 1996. Mr. Sobottka has been a member of the faculty since January 16, 1964.
  • Ms. Maria Michaela Thompson, Assistant Professor of Research in Physiology & Biological Physics, effective June 30, 1995. Ms. Thompson has been a member of the faculty since November 1, 1981.
