Epig. 37. Coed Franke.

Of the knights of St Denis Bathe.

I wonder why men did thee nominate
Coed Franke, in antique Brittaines copious Tongue;
Vnlesse thou got'st it through the French-mans fate,
The gallian griefe, which blasted thee along.

If it be so, let fleshmen learne by thee
To shun the pox; which burn's the very tree.
