FAB. LXXII. The Ass in a Lion's Skin.

The Ass puts on the Lyons feirce disguise,
And does the heard with awfull feare surprise,
But when the master came, the asses eares
Betray'd the Cheat, and rid them of their fears.

Morall

A hott braind Statesman once sett up for wise,
But knave, and foole was plaine thro the disguise.
