But o'er thy ruins, Time! and the thick clouds
Of the heart's mysteries a sun shall burst,
As now Apollo's steeds, caparisoned
In hues of heaven, rush up the Apennines,
Stareyed Eous and wild Phlegon first,
Pouring the sungod's splendours o'er the domes
Of doomed Pompeii nevermore to sleep.
Of the heart's mysteries a sun shall burst,
As now Apollo's steeds, caparisoned
In hues of heaven, rush up the Apennines,
Stareyed Eous and wild Phlegon first,
Pouring the sungod's splendours o'er the domes
Of doomed Pompeii nevermore to sleep.
