Virginia Players

The Virginia Players will open their
1971-1972 season on Monday, October 25 with
a performance of Kiss Me Kate, a musical
comedy by Cole Porter, which will run until
Sunday, October 31.

The Players have also scheduled five other
major productions during the year. Edward
Albee's drama A Delicate Balance will run from
November 15 to November 21, and Romulus
The Great, by Friedrich Durrenmatt, will
follow from December 6 to December 12.

The spring season will open on February 28
with Shakespeare's Measure. Fore Measure
Uncle Vanya, by Anton Chekhov, will begin
March 20. The final production, which will
open on May 1, will present the world premiere
of an original script written by a drama major
at the University.

The Players have added a Saturday matinee
and a Sunday evening performance to their
schedule this year, in addition to the regularly
scheduled Monday through Friday evening
performances. Season tickets cost $10 and
reserved seats for individual performances cast
$2. Student may attend performances for
$1.50.
