Landowner

In discussing the history of the
he explained that most of the land on the
corner had been or was presently owned by the
bookstore corporation. He added that there was
no restrictions as to the sale of textbooks or
hardbacks by the corporation on the stores at
the Corner.

When asked why the stores did not carry
supplementary reading, he answered that the
and other stores had
large selections supplying the University
community.

Mr. Williams indicated that the bookstore
would carry any supplies or books that the
students, faculty, or administration desired.
