The Prince that time did tread those pleasing Grounds,
Conjoyned lay, in whose small Pastor-bounds
Kingdom conceiv'd; with calmer thoughts surveigh'd
His wandring Flock, where harmlesness display'd
Mild innocence: those Flow'r-deck'd Banks beheld,
Spruce branched trees, where Natures work excell'd.
Courts proud and gaudy'st Art: there Christal stream
Did slide along, Glass to the Sun's Gold beam.
Soft Murmur's noise; whilst Springs Musicians sounded
May-carols forth, with Azure Sky surrounded.
Whose general Calm comply'd with thoughtful Brest,
If its own Heart enjoy'd, free way possest.
