21. On Achitophel .
Sage were thy Counsels, and as well apply'd,If thou hadst had but Loyalty on thy side:
I like thy last Designe (above the rest)
When thou hadst set thy House in order, best:
In all Exploits, the Rule is not so ample,
Not halfe so beneficiall as th'Example:
Th'Almighty prosper Christian Crownes; and blesse
All such like Counsels, with the like successe:
Confound Achitophel: and, Lord, impart
His Head to us; and to our Foes, his Heart.
