Meetings Delayed

The committees were supposedly intended
to start functioning early in the fall, but only
two have met formally. Students on the other
committees are still waiting word as to when
they will be called to action.

Kevin Mannix, a member of the Committee
on Admissions, reported that in a meeting last
week the group decided to investigate their
original responsibilities. Last year the
Committee's work was largely confined to
reporting briefly to the Faculty on the new first
year class and pertinent admissions policies.

The only other committee to have met is the
Committee on Academic Legislation. Bruce
Wine stated that the work of the group was
confined to specific course changes and, as yet,
has not discussed any broad areas in academic
life.
