The following resolution was adopted:

• RESOLVED that the actions relating to chairholders be and they are hereby approved as shown below:
• (a) Elections
• Mr. Ernst O. Attinger as Harry Douglas Forsyth Professor of Engineering and Applied Science, effective July 1, 1984.
• Mr. James M. Cooper as Commonwealth Professor of Education, School of Education, effective July 1, 1984.
• Mr. Samuel A. Derieux as Visiting Carman G. Blough Professor of Accounting, School of Commerce, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1984.
• Mr. Arthur T. Dietz as Visiting Arthur J. Morris Professor of Commerce, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1984.
• Mr. Colin F. Rowe as Thomas Jefferson Professor of Architecture, for the period March 16, 1984 through May 15, 1984.
• Mr. Herman H. Shugart as William W. Corcoran Professor of Environmental Sciences, effective January 16, 1985.
